About Shirudo Cosmetics

Shirudo is a tiny cosmetic company, and it all started with a simple idea. I wanted a lotion that would help with PMLE, the sun allergy that spoiled every one of my summers. Step by step, I found ingredient suppliers, chemists, laboratories and other cosmetic professionals to join me in this adventure.

Since that very first sample in 2012, I’ve met thousands of people who live with the same issue. With their help, I improved the lotion, built a brand, and got better at everything along the way. Years later, I still receive messages from customers telling me they finally enjoyed a summer outdoors, a beach vacation, or a full day in the garden. Those notes never get old, and they remind me every day why I started.

I believe Shirudo can do things differently. That means truly listening to your feedback, answering your questions, keeping things small and personal, and doing my very best to help you feel comfortable in your own skin.
